Woodrow never knew Benjamin Parks, his famous great-grandfather, but he heard stories about him from Ross McDonald, an old gold miner who remembered him well. Woodrow donated several items belonging to Benjamin Parks to the Dahlonega Gold Museum.

Woodrow Parks, now 98-years-old, will be present to add some additional memories. Visitors are welcome to come meet Woodrow Parks and see the early days of Dahlonega through his eyes.
